P6 enjoyed the morning at Florencecourt making Victorian Christmas crafts. Joan and Una explained how Christmas was celebrated in the big house. Joan showed us a china doll that had real hair, a Victorian spinning top and a much loved rag doll. We learnt that traditions such as the Christmas tree and cards all originated from that time. We then got to make our own hand made cards and finished with a session in the kitchen learning all the life of the house cook.
